With a focus on the youth of today, we believe that we can ensure that the next generation of leaders knows how to handle any difficulties that life may throw their way.

Most people are not equipped to deal with their physical and emotional stress, so Surrendered Artist’s goal is to teach how we all can utilize art as a tool for processing the highs and lows of the human experience - ensuring our pain is not repressed, and therefore breaking the cycle of generational trauma and dysfunction.
ART AS A TECHNOLOGY
Although we want to create a world where there is no more abuse or pain, a far more effective starting point is to give people the tool to deal with it if it does happen. This is how we can end this cycle of hurt people hurting people.
With a society built on a content economy designed for numbing out or providing distracted dopamine hits - it takes courage to feel in today’s day and age.
True sustained embodied change happens when you feel it. That's where it begins the program, in the limbic brain. That's why childhood traumas become patterns that we play out for the rest of our lives because of how deeply we felt it on an emotional level.
Surrendered Artist’s mission is to educate people as to the power of Art as a Technology for processing the emotional experience you are having - in real time.
Art has the ability to bypass the logical defense mechanism of the human mind, and has the ability to penetrate the feeling and emotional level, because it is perhaps the one thing on the planet that people give permission to let them feel.
In order to heal, we’ve got to feel.
When we equip people, especially children, on how to use art to deal with whatever experiences or emotions, or traumas that they are experiencing in their life, then we've given them a very powerful tool to handle anything that happens in life. The sooner we can teach children and teenagers how to use art as a healing technology to process what comes up, the higher liklinees they can quit perpetuating these wounded stories for years and decades. Surrendered Artist educates from both spaces, as the receiver of art and as the creators and makers of art.
MEET THE TEAM
Adam Roa is a conscious artist, filmmaker, poet, inspirational speaker, host of “The Deep Dive” podcast, and was listed by Goalcast as one of the “Top 33 Gamechangers to Watch in 2019″. His viral poem, “You Are Who You’ve Been Looking For” has been viewed more than 200 million times, and he has spoken on stages at some of the largest forums from MindValley to Oslo Freedom Fest. His potent spoken word poetry and deeply moving multimedia creations take the viewer on a transformational journey that leads to greater self-awareness and compassion for all life. As a multidisciplinary creative, Adam founded Surrendered Artist after going through his own journey from making art for consumption’s sake to creating art for conscious evolution. Adam has lived every part of the artist experience - from feeling like he had to sell out to be seen, to learning how to trust and amplify his own unique expression. Adam now guides and empowers other artists to create the same opportunity for themselves.

AMANDA MANARES
Executive Director
Amanda is an investor or Advisory Board member of multiple businesses and market disruptors in many industry sectors, serving over 20+ global marketplaces. Amanda draws from her keen senses and intuitive execution, being innately skilled at simplifying complex concepts - as well as bringing her extensive network of global changemakers and public figures. Her prior experiences assist her with an ability to understand and communicate missions to global markets.
Most recently, her interests and skills have gravitated toward entertainment and media and to navigating realms of virtual immersive technologies and blockchain ventures – including architecting crypto-philanthropic initiatives. As a mother herself, Amanda sees art as a catalyst for the emotional intelligence revolution leading to an advanced society that has gained the skills to shed its destructive, conflict-ridden tendencies and prosper in a mutually caring and ever more innovative, fairer, and healthy new world. She also brings the vision of such a world to her role on the Board of Equip our Kids, and Founding Circle Member of the Stan Lee Foundation.
